Brandon has just finished his Pre-Primary schooling (for 5 to 6 year olds) and when term commences again, he
will be in Grade One. He will be attending a main-stream class in the local primary school. He recently turned 6 just after Christmas, and it was a lovely quiet celebration that we had at home.
It has been a fairly uneventful even-keel year for us all. Some issues like aggression/anger outbursts are still prevalent at times but triggers are more defined; frustration, tiredness, over stimulation and general normal sibling rivalry with his younger sister are the main culprits. His stuttering
has returned, but again this occurs mostly when he is over-tired or over-excited and is being monitored and corrected as per guidelines his speech therapist advised.
Brandon's "obsessions" with trains has actually diminshed! His interests appear more usual and without the intensity that he used to have in his earlier years.. He is enjoying doing art work especially painting and cutting and pasting - his skills and interest in these areas have improved greatly. He is developing writing
and reading skills, and can't pass a sign by without asking what it spells.
