| My Sonīs StoryIīve decided to share some information about my pregnancy and experiences with my son as a baby and toddler.
As parents we are always looking for reasons why and how our children have A.S. We compare notes and explore details. Looking back now, and with the experience of raising a second child, I can now see signs of something not quite typical in my sonīs development compared to other children. At the time it is very hard to know for sure, and if it is your first-born, like me, you donīt have a very good yardstick or experience to go by. Health professionals are not always aware of the signs
either, maybe because A.S. is not seen that often, their reluctance to diagnose early in childhood for fear of "labelling" or misdiagnosis, or our children just slip through the safety net of health check-ups. So, feel free to read, and you are welcome to comment, either by signing the Guest Book or Email. Any comments or suggestions about this home page in general are always warmly appreciated too! | |
